San Francisco Airport celebrates success of "humourous" viral video San Francisco Airport's new corporate video production has gone viral, allegedly at the expense of a nearby rival
San Francisco International Airport has become the latest organisation to seemingly make use of corporate video production techniques to hit out at a rival.
The airport's new 'I Wanna Go Through SFO' video, which has been posted on YouTube, is a low-budget effort aimed at encouraging travellers from New Zealand and Australia to head to San Francisco Airport, rather than making use of a rival "bad airport", shown to be far from passenger-friendly.
In particular, according to the LA-based paper the Daily Breeze the viral video, which has now been viewed more than 20,000 times just days after being launched, may be having a dig at Californian rival Los Angeles International (LAX).
Commenting, Jane Sullivan, marketing and communications manager at SFO, Told the paper that the online video production has served as a "humorous way to frame our amenities".
"Everyone has a theory, of course, on where the bad airport is located, depending on where you live," she added.
This comes as a new viral video purportedly showing former US presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton meeting crowds in Haiti is being picked up by online users around the world.
