New Australian hotel to use video marketing

The Hilton Hotel in Australia's Melbourne had launched an online and television marketing campaign.

The campaign, which is to be used on YouTube, social networking sites and Yahoo among others, is designed to highlight the special rate deals and contemporary styling of the hotel.

Grant McNicol, marketing director of the video production company McLaren Media, said: "The Hilton brand is synonymous with innovation and definitely a leader in all aspects of the hotel and hospitality industry."

"The campaign we are running with the Hilton Melbourne South Wharf is to gain a better understanding of how video content across various video sites can enhance the properties marketing efforts and deliver clear return on investments."

A video campaign can be a great way to highlight the advantages of a hotel in a new and engaging manner and yesterday (November 17th) the European Interactive Advertising Association released figures showing that a third of marketers planned to increase their online video spend by 20 per cent.
