Educational Video productions can be used to help students, says expert An expert in technology in education has recommended video productions for students.
Video productions are one of the many new technologies that are helping to educate students, it has been claimed.
According to Dr Neil Morris, a senior lecturer in neuroscience at the University of Leeds and researcher into the use of technology in education, a number of different mediums can be used to enhance learning.
"Many tools, for example, videos of lectures, blogs and wikis as collaborative writing tools for students to produce group assignments are in use at the University of Leeds," he said.
"All of these tools can be used to help students become better learners if properly integrated into the curriculum with measurable learning outcomes."
Dr Morris added that they can also be beneficial in helping students to understand how these technologies can be used in professional life.
The Open University recently (June 29th) announced that they had reached a milestone as the first university to hit 20 million downloaded tracks on iTunes U, a dedicated area within the iTunes Store featuring educational audio and video items.
