As video consumption rises, so too will advertising, expert predicts Internet video productions are becoming more professional and more popular, it is claimed.
Online video advertising will grow as internet video content becomes more popular, it has been claimed.
According to Jamie Estrin, managing director of online advertising network Web TV Enterprise, there has been an increase of professional, high quality videos being made available on the internet.
As this happens, and web video becomes more popular, so will online video advertising, he predicted.
Mr Estrin said: "With so much being added and so much being consumed naturally advertisers want to communicate with the people engaging with this content everyday.
"Advertising revenue will always follow media consumption and there can be no doubt that consumption of online video grew exponentially last year and it is only going to continue to grow."
His comments follow a recent survey conducted by Nielsen that examine attitudes about paying for online content to determine which content types consumers were most willing to support financially.
The global survey of more than 27,000 consumers in 54 countries found that 50 per cent of global online consumers have paid or would consider paying for professionally produced video content.
