AOL to use news video productions ITN is to supply AOL with online news clips.
A deal has been agreed between AOL and ITN which will see news provider =supply video productions to be shown on the internet portal.
The contract will see ITN supply hundreds of hours of news clips to the company each day.
AOL will then go through the clips and select which to place on its homepage, news and entertainment channels.
The video productions will vary in length from 60 seconds to six minutes and will cover areas such as showbiz, money, sports, entertainment and lifestyle.
"By bolstering video across the AOL UK platform we are offering advertisers even more opportunities to reach our engaged audiences as we programme the most compelling multimedia experiences across our rich, topical and trusted content," said the head of AOL Europe, Kate Burns.
It was recently announced that AOL has completed the sale of CQ instant messaging business to Russian Internet investor Digital Sky Technologies Ltd for $187.5 million (£122.8 million).
