AOL puts video productions at centre of new news page Relaunched news site to offer live TV video streaming.
Internet portal AOL has relaunched its UK news page, with a greater focus on video productions.
The company has upped its role as a news video aggregator, with new deals struck with a number of content providers, reports New Media Age.
It will now be able to stream live TV news footage from a number of channels, including BBC, Al Jazeera, Euronews and France 24 as part of a new bid to target users in the over 25 age group.
An AOL spokeswoman told the news provider: "We've been working steadily to reorganise our brands and focus on three key audiences: women and men aged 25-44 and seniors aged over 55."
Additional new features include a picture gallery and readers' comments platform.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that AOL has purchased location-based social networking service Rally Up.
AOL said it would use the firms mobile applications to boost its own mobile offerings.
