'Sophisticated' UK internet users could be good news for video production Expert says UK internet access compares well to other nations.
Video productions posted online could benefit from the UK public's extensive access to broadband internet.
According to Race Online 2012, a campaign aiming to make the UK the first nation in the world where everyone can use the web, the UK's internet availability compares favourably to other developed nations, just ahead of the USA on internet use and just behind Sweden.
In addition, UK consumers are using the internet for an increasingly wide variety of purposes.
Graham Walker, head of policy at Race Online 2012, said: "We are the most sophisticated internet users in Europe, with 58 per cent of our users having bought or sold - transacting - online.
"We spent £4.4 billion online in April. We have more Facebook users than any country apart from the US, and 50 per cent of all travel is now booked online."
The Economist Intelligence Unit recently ranked the UK in a list of the world's most developed digital economies.
